Visual Audio Plan

Script Plan: Newsreader beginning, take part audio from a news show like BBC, with the BBC theme tune, for breaking news about schools and colleges closing, maybe from spotlight? This is for shot 1, where the visual is looking at the college reception, making it look like the viewer is entering the college. Shot 2: Interview Style, talking about how college life has changed, what are the new procedures? Talking about the testing during college hours. Mask wearing during classes and communal areas, what are peoples opinion on this? Shot 3: Previous dialog, will run into this shot a bit, however most of the shot will just be the background non-diegetic sound, most likely some quiet, instrumental music. This will be mainly quiet, to reflect upon the statistics on screen, which will be relating to how much learning has been interrupted.  Shot 4: This shot is all about talking through whats on the screen, much like BBC's The Papers, where they talk through what is on the front cover, th...

Statement of Intent

8th October 2020 LO: To produce a concise and well structured statement outlining your chosen brief. Produce the front cover and the contents page for the first two editions of a new current affairs magazine being launched by Dennis and the working website for the magazine. Cross media production TA a socially conscious 16 - 25 middle to upmarket audience. Draft 1 How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief.  For my coursework, I have decided to use an artistic flair for the design of the magazine, I feel that doing this will appeal to a younger target audience. As this is for a current affairs magazine, it will need to follow certain codes and conventions, such as having a masthead and a slogan. It will also need a main cover line and a main image. To make this appeal to a 16 – 25-year-old audience I will need to modernise the cover, other magazines, for an older target audie...

Mock Ups

Summer Work

Overview: The magazine will stand up for the target audience. Fighting battles with the TA and not against, such as about results day, which will be one of the newer ideas for one of the magazines. This is also how it will target the target audience. Content will only include things which are relevant to the audience such as recent protests/movements. The magazine will be in the style of a fashion or art magazine, which will allow it to catch the attention of the TA, this means geometric designs, modernised look for a current affairs magazine. Main Images: I want to have a photoshoot for the Covid-19 magazine to have images in a town with people wearing masks and try to show the impact that some businesses have had due to Covid-19. I also want to show the impact on the environment, and how PPE is just being chucked away, and that its littering our streets. For the results day, I would like to show relief / people being upset about their results, and ...

Magazine Branding design

Use geometric shapes, this is what I want the style to be for the Magazine. These shapes can be used as 'picture frames' for the original images that I have to include on the magazine. I would like to use a modern colour palette, use of a grey scale colour palette, use the negative space! (Pale orange to be used as the accent colour? Or Baby Blue?) Colours have to be Matte. I would like to use a sans serif font but I feel that the image above with the font of the masthead would work very well and would inked in my 'modern' style that I am looking to have on my magazine. So maybe use a serif font?? I want to have a minimalistic approach to the style of my magazine as I feel this is what makes magazines eye catching for 16-25 year olds, a modern looking simplistic magazine.  Magazine slogan:  By the People, For the People?? News made easier?? Excellence in Every Word?? Font: Cant decide on a font, I want a font as close to the one in the image above as I can.
